Seen as though it’s International Women’s Day coming up (Sun 8th March FYI) I thought I’d pay homage to the local women business owners that we’re so proud to share our area with.

Wow, so many amazing business all owned by awesome women! The Fruit Market used to be a thriving wholesalers and dock area. Oh how time’s have changed! It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come in terms of women being able to start up their own businesses, our ancestors would surely be very proud!
Before I sign off, a final shoutout to all the other businesses down here co-owned by women (Form, Humber St Distillery and Humber Fish Co I see you 👋) and all the super girls and women that help run the myriad of great business in the area. You’re all an inspiration!
Happy International Women’s Day! 💖
P.S Tessies wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Nicola, the boss of dreams. She’s super inspirational, has dreams and visions bigger than the Humber itself and is just an all round creative badass!
